Paz Vega, Daniel Bruhl and Mia Maestro are to star in the independe drama "Castro's Daughter." Bobby Moresco, co-writer of award winning "Crash," is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Nilo Cruz ("Anna in the Tropics"). Shooting is expected to start in late spring in Puerto Rico.
Vega ("Sex and Lucia") is in talks to come in as Alina Fernandez, Fidel Castro's exiled daughter. Bruhl recently starred in "Inglourious Basterds."Maestro was cast in NBC's "Crusoe." Prior to that, she starred in Aqua y sal and A.J. Kparr's "The Box" (Not the Cameron Diaz starrer).
