The weekend buzz is starting to wind down about "Watchmen" and its box office opening, with the Zack Snyder helmed film pulling in around $55.6 million as far as estimates go. Next weekend, the Warner Bros. Pictures film faces off against Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures' Andy Fickman helmed "Race to Witch Mountain." With Dwayne Johnson starring alongside Carla Gugino, AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig, the family sci-fi adventure comedy opens in 3000+ theatres, aiming to snag kids and teens. Gugino will most likely be looking at a first and second place at box office as the multi-talented actress forms one of the “Watchmen” leads.

Horror “The Last House on the Left” corners the genre with around 2,300 venues served. Remake based on Wes Craven’s original film of 1972, is newly screen-written by Adam Alleca and Carl Ellsworth. Sara Paxton, known for roles in TV’s “Aquamarine” and “Darcy’s Wild Life,” stars alongside, Tony Goldwyn, Monica Potter and  Darret Dillahunt (TV’s “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”).

“Last House on the Left” was in fact Craven’s very first feature film screenplay; he followed later with other immortal horror classics like “The Hills Have Eyes” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” Another memorable film is “The People under the Stairs.”

Fox Searchlight unspools its comedy “Miss March” into around 1,700 venues. The comedy is helmed, written and stars Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore (“The Whitest Kids U’Know”). Also in the cast are Raquel Alessi, Molly Stanton, Holly Hindman, Craig Robinson, Alexis Raben, Hugh Hefner, Geoff Meed, Landon Ashworth, Tanjareen Martin and Eve Mauro.

In limited venues, Overture Films’ “Sunshine Cleaning” comedy gets just 4 theatres. The comedy by Christine Jeffs (“Sylvia”) stars Amy Adams, Emily Blunt, Steve Zahn, Alan Arkin, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Clifton Collins Jr., Eric Christian Olsen and Kevin Chapman.

Talented cast members including Quaid, Zhang Ziyi, Lou Taylor Pucci, Clifton Collins Jr., Patrick Fugit, Paul Dooley, Batty Shabaka Henley, Eric Balfour, Chelcie Ross and Peter Stormare star in “Horsemen,” a thriller sent out into 75 locations by Lionsgate. Platinum Dunes and Radar Pictures production is produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller.
