Lionsgate's The Possession horror grossed $17.7 million to top the box office this weekend over three days, and is looking at a $21.3 million Friday-Monday estimated total, with actual figures coming in tomorrow. Ole Bornedal directs the Sam Raimi-produced film also called Dibbuk Box, which averaged $6,294 per theater, frontlined by a cast including Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick, Natasha Callis and Madison Davenport.

- Friday: $6.06 million.
- Saturday: $6.3 million.
- Sunday: $5.4 million.
- Monday: $3.6 million.
In second, Weinstein Co's Lawless crime drama which opened on Wednesday, made $9.67 million over three days, with four day estimated figures unavailable at this time. Total cume is around $11.8 million for the Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Guy Pearce and Dane DeHaan starrer.
Third-placed Lionsgate The Expendables gave up its two week top spot winning streak with $8.8 million over Friday to Sunday, and around $11 million over the four day frame. Sylvester Stallone's gathering of action heroes, under the helm of Simon West, has generated over $66.1 million with domestically, and $68.3 million with day four in the mix.
Universal's The Bourne Legacy gets closer to the $100 million N. American gross with $7.4 million over the weekend (total $96.2 million), and $9.29 million with Monday added, bringing its cume to $98.2 million.
Focus Features' ParaNorman grossed $6.5 million and $8.8 million over 3 and 4 days respectively, bringing its domestic cume over $38 million, and $40.2 million from F-S-S-M figures.
