Paul Solet's Dark Summer has landed Stella Maeve in the lead in the horror which tells of a 17-year-old in house arrest in haunted confines. Deadline reports that Ross Dinerstein of Preferred Film & TV Media is producing the film while Jamie Carmichael serves as executive producer.
The indie film starts shooting this week.
Maeve's been a busy actress since 2005, with film and TV credits under her belt, including The Runaways, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Bones, House M.D., Starlet and All Together Now. She's in post production phase on Flipped with Michael Madsen and is shooting Manson Girls alongside Tania Raymonde, Eric Balfour, Monica Keena, Estella Warren, Laura Harring and Ron Jeremy.
