New clips from Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, starring Emily Blunt, Ewan McGregor, Amr Waked and Kristin Scott Thomas.
The CBS Films eagerly anticipated dramedy directed by Lasse Hallström (Chocolat, The Hoax, Dear John) and scripted by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) opens on March 9th.
We have interviews with the cast and filmmakers as well as a featurette and new clips up for your viewing pleasure.
The story based on the novel by Paul Torday, tells of a visionary sheik (Amr Waked) who has a big dream – to bring salmon fishing to the desert. Willing to spare no expense. he instructs his representative (Emily Blunt) to turn his dream into reality, an extraordinary feat that will require the involvement of Britain’s leading fisheries expert (Ewan McGregor) who happens to think the project both absurd and unachievable. That is, until the Prime Minister’s overzealous press secretary (Kristin Scott Thomas) latches on for its potential as a ‘good will’ story. Now, this unlikely team will put it all on the line and embark on an upstream journey of faith and fish to prove the impossible, possible.
Also in the cast are Rachael Stirling, Tom Mison and Catherine Steadman. Follow the links and thumbnails below the clips and featurette to see all the interview videos. Enjoy!
