The Crazy Ones teams David E. Kelley with Robin Williams on comedy scripted by Kelley
Kelley and Williams are teaming for the single-camera project from 20th Century Fox TV which is currently working on a big commitment with CBS, reports Variety.
The Crazy Ones has Williams as Bill D'Elia, a renowned advertising executive. Kelley will executive produce alongside Williams. If the project goes through, this would be Williams first time back on TV since Mork and Mindy which Williams frontlined from 1978-1982.
Film-wise, Williams is up next in Justin Zackham's The Big Wedding with Robert De Niro, Amanda Seyfried, Diane Keaton, Topher Grace, Katherine Heigl and Susan Sarandon starring. He's in post-production on rom-com Look of Love with Ed Harris, Annette Benning, Amy Brenneman and Jess Weixler, and currently shooting Lee Daniels' drama The Butler. That film includes Alex Pettyfer, John Cusack, Lenny Kravitz, Liev Schreiber, Forest Whitaker, James Marsden, Minka Kelly and Cuba Gooding Jr.
