Comedy 4 1/2 Minutes will mark the directorial debut of actress Renee Zellweger who will star with Johnny Knoxville in Anthony Tambakis who wrote the incredible Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton MMA drama Warrior, scripts.
Variety reports that PalmStar Media Capital's Kevin Frakes is set to finance and K5 International will start introducing the movie to buyers at the Toronto Film Festival.
4 1/2 Minutes takes place in New York City and is based on the life of stand-up comic Dov Davidoff and follows Jimmy Bennett (played by Knoxville), a comedian scared of commitment whose life is falling apart after he takes a job where he's tasked in looking after the genius son of single mother P.J. Andersen (Zellweger).
Production stars in New York in February with Frakes producing alongside Zellweger and Tambakis' All Together Now company.
