Identity Thief casts John Favreau with Jason Bateman, Amanda Peet and Melissa McCarthy
After just adding twins Maggie Elizabeth and Mary-Charles Jones from Footloose to the Identity Thief cast, Universal's now cast John Favreau in the Seth Gordon comedy, reports Variety.
The draft for this one came from Steve Conrad (The Weather Man, The Promotion) with Craig Mazin (The Hangover Part II) doing a rewrite.
In Identity Thief, Bateman plays a man whose life falls to pieces after his identity's stolen and, after he finds the perpetrator (Melissa McCarthy), he gets an unexpected wake-up call.
John Cho, Clark Duke and Kevin Covais form the supporting cast. Identity Thief is set for a theatrical release on May 10, 2013 and is produced by Scott Stuber as well as Pamela Abdy via Bluegrass Films, and Bateman.
