The Numbers Station action thriller casts John Cusack
Kasper Barfoed (The Candidate) directs the film which starts shooting this November with Sean and Bryan Furst of Furst Films producing alongside Matador Films' Nigel Thomas. Chris Fenton and Chris Cowlesare executive producing.
In the F. Scott Frazier-scripted film Cusack stars as a disgraced black-ops agent who is given a dead-end job of protecting a code operator (Akerman) for an isolated covert CIA broadcast station.
Cusack was last seen in the uproariously funny Hot Tub Time Machine. His Shanghai project has yet to find U.S. release, while, as far as upcoming work goes, he's completed Morgan O'Neill's The Factory with Jennifer Carpenter and Mae Whitman and is in post-production phase for Limbo as well as Lee Daniels' The Paperboy with Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey and Scott Glenn. Catch him up next in Relativity Media's eagerly anticipated The Raven (seen above) with Luke Evans, Alice Eve and Brendan Gleeson.
