David Henrie, known for Wizards of Waverly Place, is set to star in Michael Levin's 1000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story. He'll play a real-life role of gifted high school basketball player Weissman who suffered a stroke and made it his dream to be able to be part of one more game and hold the ball, even for a mere few seconds.
1000 to 1 is being produced by Bruce Gordon and Bob Burris and is scheduled to begin production this October in Pennsylvania.
Henrie's next big screen appearance is alongside Tom Wilkinson, Emily Watson and Kevin James in the World War II drama Little Boy. He's also recently finished work on Sony's Grown Ups 2, also with Kevin James as well as Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade, Andy Samberg, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph, Steve Buscemi and Milo Ventimiglia,
