More entertaining then the original given that you have a more modern cast. It's also a twist from the original. I think everyone expected it to be more focused on Whitney therefore gaining its popularity. But over all the remake was very good. I loved Mike Epps as a villian. I did not think he could do it but he was excellent. Sparkle was different than the first but still a great movie. I loved all of the music they kept most of it original and added some new and I can't wait to see what Jordan does next!
