When you wish upon a star you get a friend for life, one who is apparently also a talking bear. As luck would have it, the bear in question is put together by none other than Seth Macfarlane, so this is not your average teddy bear. This is so far off the deep end that you couldn't swim back to the dock if you wanted to do so, and that is a good thing.
When little Johnny Bennett wishes for a friend, he has no idea that the bear that he received as a Christmas present will be with him for decades. Nor does he realize that it will interfere with his relationships. But sometimes you get what you wish for, and that has consequences. In this case, it all works out in the end, and that is the only downside here.
Macfarlane brings a tear to your eye for a foul-mouthed bear, but it would have been better if there was no happy ending. Or perhaps if the happy ending was a real happy ending you know what I mean?
