More entertaining then the original given that you have a more modern cast. It's also a twist from the original. I think everyone expected it to be more focused on Whitney therefore gaining its popularity. But over all the remake was very good. I loved Mike Epps as a villian. I did not think he could do it but he was excellent. Sparkle was different than the first but still a great movie. I had not seen the orginal version of this movie but it does not matter this movie is GREAT I would tell every1 to see it. it has a good plot so moments that will talkin like "what" but its worth it. it is not a dream girls type of movie..so go see it ...Read the review
