Jack Black was awesome!!! Very good acting on his part.
This movie is not your typical Hollywood big screen production. It is based on the true story of Bernie Tiede (Jack Black) and Marjorie Nugent (Shirley MacLaine). Bernie is as nice as they come and extremely religious while Marjorie is as mean and controlling as they come. Bernie becomes the friend, gopher, financial advisor, caretaker, etc for Marjorie, a wealthy widow.
