Funnyman Will Ferrell wore his producer’s hat recently at the Sundance Film Festival in support of the comedies Bachelorette and Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, which he also appears in a supporting role.
Ferrell confirmed his next acting gig, joining the FLAMINGO THIEF, about a lawyer who starts stealing yard ornament flamingos after his wife ditches him. Michael LeSieur signed on to adapt Susan Trott’s novel with Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfield producing via Red Hour Films.
Ferrell recently completed the comedy Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie and continued working on the political comedy Dog Fight costarring Dylan McDermott, Zach Galifianakis and Jason Sudeikis about competing presidential candidates.
Ferrell also agreed to re-team with his The Other Guys co-star Mark Wahlberg on the football comedy Three Mississippi, formerly called Turkey Bowl, with Other Guys director Adam McKay also on-board to direct the Warner Bros. comedy.
Up next for Ferrell is his the Spanish-language comedy Casa de mi Padre, playing a Mexican rancher who tangles with a drug lord and his brother's fiancée while trying to save his father's ranch.
Casa de mi Padre, co-starring Genesis Rodriguez, Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal, is in cinemas March 2012.
