Armada sets sail with Universal
Universal has acquired feature film rights to Ernie Cline's upcoming Armada novel, which has been set up with Farah Films' Dan Farah and Scott Stuber's Bluegrass Films.
According to Variety, Cline's reps have already sold North American publishing rights to Random House's Crown Publishing division.
No details on the plot of Armada, however, it's a high-concept project that apparently offers ultimate wish fulfillment to every video game fan in the world.
Cline also sold his Ready Player One to Warner Bros. which is being adapted by Eric Eason (A Better Life) and Cline.
