Tom Cruise joins Oscar presenters at 84th Academy Awards
Telecast producers Brian Grazer and Don Mischer announced today that three-time Academy Award®-nominated Tom Cruise will present at the 84th Academy Awards® ceremony.
Cruise can be seen in Paramount Pictures' Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, helmed by Brad Grey. The actor is in post-production on several projects.
First up, he plays Stacee Jaxx in Adam Shankman's musical dramedy Rock of Ages with Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Bryan Cranston, Malin Akerman, Paul Giamatti, Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand.
Additionally, Cruise plays Jack Reacher in Christopher McQuarrie's One Shot crime drama, based on Lee Child's novel, which Josh Olson and McQuarrie are scripting. That film includes Rosamund Pike, David Oyelowo, Robert Duvall, Richard Jenkins, Jair Courtney, Werner Herzog and Michael Raymond-James.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2011 are to be presented on Sunday, Feb. 26th at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network.
