Disney's The Finest Hours, based on Casey Sherman and Michael Tougias' bestseller, may have a director in Game of Thrones helmer Tim Van Patten.
Tim Van Patten, who's also directed episodes of The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire, in talks to talk the helm of the Coast Guard drama, reports Variety.,
The story tells of the the 1952 Coast Guard rescue of 84 men off of Cape Cod, after the collision of two oil tankers which stuck in blizzard.
Whitaker Entertainment's Jim Whitaker and Dorothy Aufiero (The Odd Life of Timothy Green) are set to produce.
