With 2011 coming to a close this weekend, MTV’s NextMovie site surveyed fans on the “Movie Most Looked Forward To in 2012” and THE HUNGER GAMES topped The Twiight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 with The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey lagging far behind.
MTV voters shared little in common with readers at the the Hero Complex blog of The L.A. Times who recently ranked John Carter, director Andrew Stanton’s live-action feature based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels, as the most anticipated movie of 2012 with The Dark Knight Rises and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in the second and third slots.
Good to see a variety of choices from different communities of film buffs.
Fans, do you have a top choice for the 2012 movie you can’t wait to see? If so, let us know. Personally, I’m voting The Dark Knight Rises with Ridley Scott’s Prometheus a close second.
