Chronicle tops box office over Woman in Black.
Despite leading the way on Friday, The Woman in Black grossed an estimated $21 million and ended the Super Bowl box office weekend in second position over Fox's Chronicle with $22 million. Since these are Friday-Sunday estimated figures, first and second place could swap over, powered by Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe.

Chronicle, helmed by Josh Trank who wrote the story alongside scribe Max Landis, averaged $7,568 from 2,907 theaters. Michael B. Jordan, Michael Kelly, Alex Russell, Joe Vaz, Luke Tyler and Ashley Hinshaw star in the action sci-fi thriller.
CBS Films' The Woman in Black debuted in 2,855 theaters, posting an average of $7,356. Cast of the James Watkins film based on the novel by Susan Hill, includes Ciarán Hinds, Shaun Dooley, Janet McTeer, Alisa Khazanova, David Burke, Liz White and Sidney Johnston.
Open Road Films' wolf adventure The Grey, starring Liam Neeson, Dermot Mulroney and Frank Grillo, showed a 52% change in its sophomore weekend box office run, posting $9.5 million. Total domestic cume for the Joe Carnahan flick based on the short story "Ghost Walker" by Ian Mackenzie Jeffers, is around $34.75 million.
Debuting in fourth place, Universal's family drama Big Miracle grossed $8.48 million, with a cast frontlined by Drew Barrymore, John Krasinski, Kristen Bell, Dermot Mulroney, Ted Danson, Tim Blake Nelson, Stephen Root, Rob Riggle and Vinessa Shaw. Pic averaged $3,985 from 2,129 runs.
The top five list ends off with Screen Gems' Underworld: Awakening actioner/horror with $5.6 million grossed. Kate Beckinsale starrer showed a 55% change in its third weekend at play, and has amassed over $54.35 million.
In limited releases, Madonna's W.E. drama opened in 4 venues with $45,000 earned. Abbie Cornish, Andrea Riseborough, James D'Arcy, Oscar Isaac and Richard Coyle star.
Magnet Releasing's The Innkeepers starring Sara Paxton and Pat Healy grossed around $32,000 on its box office debut and IFC's Kill List made $5,800 from a single venue. Neil Maskell, Myanna Buring star in the Ben Wheatley-directed horror/thriller.
Year-to-date revenue is at $967.4 million vs. 2011's $850 million, up by 13.82%, while attendance is also up by 14.54%.
