Michael Winterbottom's The Look of Love starring Steve Coogan will be distributed in N. America by IFC Films, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The drama premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 19th and stars Coogan as Paul Raymond, British adult magazine publisher and entrepreneur who became the wealthiest man in Britain, but lost all those who were closest to him. Also in the cast are Imogen Poots, Anna Friel and Tamsin Egerton.
Winterbottom said that "It's incredible news that IFC Films is going to be releasing The Look of Love in the U.S. We’ve developed an incredible working relationship over the years and I couldn’t be more enthusiastic to have this film in their hands."
Coogan was last seen in Ruby Sparks with Paul Dano, Zoe Kazan and Annette Bening and 2012 Toronto International Film Festival player What Maisie Knew, alongside Alexander Skarsgård and Julianne Moore. He's in post-production phase on Universal's animated Despicable Me 2, Elaine Constantine's Northern Soul and Stephen Frears' Philomena which he also co-scripted alongside Jeff Pope, based on the Martin Sixsmith book "The Lost Child of Philomena Lee." That film also stars Judi Dench as well as Simone Lahbib and Charles Edwards.
