Sony Pictures Classics has picked up rights from Hanway Films to David Cronenberg's A Dangerous Method, starring Viggo Mortensen, Keira Knightley, Michael Fassbender and Vincent Cassel, reports Variety.
Script comes from Christopher Hampton who adapts from his own stage play of 2002 called "The Talking Cure," which was based on the 1993 book by John Kerr "A Most Dangerous Method."
The story tells of a love triangle between psychoanalyst Carl Jung (played by Fassbender), his mentor, Sigmund Freud (Mortensen); and the woman who comes between them Sabina Spielrein (Knightley).
Jeremy Thomas produced the film which is currently in post-production.
