A Fantastic Fear of Everything starring Simon Pegg gets backing
Low-budget Simon Pegg flick A Fantastic Fear of Everything becomes the first film to receive backing from Pinewood Films, the indie finance initiative from Pinewood Shepperton Studios, reports Variety.
A Fantastic Fear of Everything is budgeted at $4.9 million and is a psycho-comedy which has started shooting on July 6th in Shepperton. Universal Pictures and Indomnia Releasing are also financing the film.
The story follows Pegg who plays a children's author turned crime novelist, who, after researching Victorian serial killers, becomes a wreck in fear of being murdered himself.
After a Hollywood executive shows interest in his script, what should be a big break quickly turns into a big breakdown.
Crispin Mills directs the film which Universal will distribute in the U.K. as well as Australia, New Zealand, Germany and Latin America while Indomina will release the film in the U.S.
Chris Hopewell co-directs A Fantastic Fear of Everything, being produced by Keel Films' Geraldine Patten.
