Identity Theft starring Jason Bateman, Melissa McCarthy, lands director Seth Gordon
Scott Stuber produces via Stuber Pictures, along with Bateman and DumbDumb's Peter Morgan, reports Variety.
Identity Theft tells of a man whose identity gets stolen by a woman.
Steve Conrad (The Weather Man, The Pursuit of Happyness) scripted the initial draft, with Craig Mazin currently working on a rewrite.
The film is scheduled to go into production some time early this year. Bateman was last seen in the appalling The Change-Up with Ryan Reynolds, and worked with Seth Gordon on the amusing Horrible Bosses alongside Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston and Donald Sutherland.
He's in post-production on Peter Glanz's The Longest Week with Billy Crudup and Olivia Wilde, as well as Disconnect, alongside Paula Patton, Alexander Skarsgård, Michael Nyqvist, Colin Ford, Frank Grillo, Hope Davis and Andrea Riseborough.
Gordon's other work includes the Freakonomics documentary, Four Christmases starring Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon, as well as the amazing The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.
