Samuel L. Jackson has joined the English-language remake of Chan-wook Park's OLD BOY, alongside current stars Josh Brolin, Sharlto Copley and Elizabeth Olsen. In OLD BOY, an everyday man is left with only five days and limited resources to learn why he was imprisoned in a nondescript room for some 15 years without explanation. Apparently Jackson is in a scene where he's tortured by lead Brolin.
Spike Lee directs the film scripted by Mark Protosevich, based on the manga by Garon Tsuchiya and Nobauki Minegishi. OLD BOY produced by Mandate Pictures, is scheduled to start filming in Louisiana and New York this fall.
Asside from OLD BOY, Jackson was last seen in MARVEL'S THE AVENGERS and can be seen next in Quentin Tarantino's eagerly anticipated DJANGO UNCHAINED, starring Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Kerry Washington, Don Johnson, Walton Goggins, James Remar and Bruce Dern.
