Paradise Lost casts Sam Reid of Anonymous in adaptation of John Milton's 17th-century poem.
Sam Reid, who plays the Earl of Essex in Roland Emmerich's Anonymous period drama, joins Alex Proyas' big-budget adaptation of Paradise Lost.
In the Legendary Pictures-backed film, Reid plays Raphael, a lesser archangel who warns archangel Michael (Benjamin Walker) not to trust that Lucifer (Bradley Cooper) can be redeemed.
The cast also includes Casey Affleck as Gabriel, Djimon Hounsou (Abdiel), Callan McAuliffe (Uriel) and Dominic Purcell (Jerahmeel), and Adam and Eve will be played by Diego Boneta and Camilla Belle.
Paradise Lost is being produced by Vincent Newman's Vincent Newman Entertainment with Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni of Legendary Pictures.
