This time last year British funnyman Russell Brand was in the spotlight thanks to his luxury wedding to curvy singer Katy Perry.
His recent Arthur re-make co-starring Helen Mirren failed to wow Hollywood but Brand continued to keep his Hollywood career in high gear by talking to 20th Century Fox TV about creating a thirty-minute, prime-time cartoon.
Vulture reported today that Brand looked to collaborate with Dan Fybel and Rich Rinaldo of Bob’s Burgers as well as executive producers Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope on the show as a possible addition to Fox’s cartoon lineup.
Brand recently joined his Branded Films partner Nik Linnen to produce along with his shingle's Beau Bauman as executive producer on the comedy The President Stole My Girlfriend.
Brand will next be seen in the adaptation of the Broadway hit Rock of Ages and joined Julianne Hough on Diablo Cody's untitled directing debut.
No word yet on the premise of Brand’s TV toon or if wifey Katy Perry planned to join the TV comedy. Fingers crossed.
