Rumer Willis and Chris Marquette will star in The Odd Way Home which tells of a man with autism who meets a woman fleeing her Los Angeles life, and their journey through the Southwest. Also starring are Brendan Sexton III, Veronica Cartwright and Bruce Altman.
Rajeev Nirmalakhandan helms as as well as scripting alongside Jason Ronstadt. from the screenplay he wrote with Jason Ronstandt.
The independent drama from Slant Productions and Sandia Media starts filming later in July in New Mexico, reports Variety.
Peter Touche of Screen Media is producing with Patrick Nelson while Victor Kearney serves as executive producer on The Odd Way Home.
Marquette was ,last seen in The Double and is in post-production phase on Leslie Greif's Sleeping Around, with Tammin Sursok, Jesse Bradford and Wendi McLendon-Covey.
Willis starred with Trevor Morgan and Robert Loggia in The Diary of Preston Plummer which made its premiere at the Miamia International Film Festival. She's in post-production on Michael Oblowitz's The Ganzfeld Experiment horror with Billy Zane and Dominic Purcell.
