The L.A.-based specialty distributor Roadside Attractions announced today its acquisition of the sci-fi thriller BRANDED from former advertising exec Jamie Bradshaw and Russian TV exec Alexander Doulerain.
Bradshaw, who co-founded the ad agency Ignition Creative, and Doulerain, the Chief Creative Officer of Russia’s TNT TV network, co-wrote, co-produced and co-directed the thriller about a future world where corporate brands operate a conspiracy to control the world’s population via mind control with Leelee Sobieski, Jeffrey Tambor, Max Von Sydow and Ed Stoppard in key roles.
“We’re excited to release Jamie Bradshaw and Alexander Doulerain’s mind-bending, futuristic thriller Branded, which is a kind of film we haven’t done before,” said Roadside Co-President Howard Cohen in a release.
“The most powerful weapon on earth today is nor a gun or a disease, nor is it even visible to many,” Bradshaw added in the release. “It is marketing. Marketing is the power to control your desires and change your mind, and if you look closer there something about it that is not of this earth.”
Sci-fi fans, what do you think of Branded? Looks like a great thriller to release in theaters considering all the attention around Mad Men.
