Phase 4 Films has acquired David H. Steinberg's romantic comedy Miss Dial, picking up U.S. and Canadian distribution rights, reports Variety.
Steinberg who wrote Puss in Boots makes his directorial debut on the film, with a starring lineup including Robinne Lee, Sam Jaege, Sara Rue, Jon Huertas, Amanda Crew, Hill Harper, Dule Hill and Gabrielle Union.
Miss Dial is produced by Keetgi Kogan, M. Elizabeth Hughes, Eric Hayes and Lee and follows a consumer affairs rep who has deal with bizarre customer queries including whether dogs can drink the blue toilet water and more. One day, she takes off work and takes to calling random strangers to try reconnect with the world outside her apartment.
Larry Greenberg of Phase 4 along with Glen Reynolds at Circus Road negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers.
