Petunia casts Thora Birch, Christine Lahti, Brittany Snow and Michael Urie.

Thora Birch, Christine Lahti, Brittany Snow and Michael Urie are cast Petunia, a dark indie comedy from Ash Christian. Also cast are David Rasche and newcomer Tobias Segal. Petunia starts filming next week with Ash Christian directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Theresa Bennett.

Jordan Yale Levin (The Land of the Astronauts) produces Petunia alongside Birch and Christian. The story tells of an offbeat family of New Yorkers who are coming to terms with their own doubts about love and life. Stories are three brothers are intermingled, one of which has developed a sex addition.

Christian's debut film was Fat Girls which had its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, winning the emerging talent award.

Aside from Petunia, Christian's upcoming work includes the comedy Mangus with Jennifer Coolidge, Heather Matarazzo and Leslie Jordan starring.
