A Haunted House, scripted by Marlon Wayons and Rick Alvarez, spoofing films like Paranormal Activity and The Devil Inside, has been acquired by Open Road Films.
Variety reports that Open Road is set to release the film into theaters, nationwide from January 11th next year.
A Haunted House tells of Malcolm (Wayans) and Kisha (Atkins) a couple who've moved into their dream home. Keisha's soon possessed by a demon, leaving Malcolm hiring everyone from ghostbusters, priests and more to help his beloved get rid of the evil inside.
Wayans also stars with Cedric the Entertainer, Essence Atkins, David Koechner and Nick Swardson.
Alvarez and Wayans produce the Michael Tiddes-directed film. Stuart Ford of IM Global served as executive producer alongside Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Deepak Nayar, Steve Squillante and Lisa Blum.
