Joseph Kosinski's sci-fi pic lands Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough
Universal's tapped Olga Kurylenko and Andrea Riseborough as the female leads for the untitled film helmed by Joseph Kosinski, from a script by William Monahan and Karl Gajdusek.
Several had tried for the roles, including Underworld: Awakening's Kate Beckinsale and Hayley Atwell of Captain America: The First Avenger.
The title's still not confirmed, despite first being called Oblivion, then changed over to Horizons, now left as untitled for now. Story follows a soldier stationed on a future Earth with a surface which has been destroyed by aliens. After finding a woman who has crash-landed in a pod, this brings about a series of events leaving him questioning all her knows.
Chermin Entertainment's Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark are producing along with Radical Publishing's Barry Levine and Kosinski.
Kosinski's claim to fame is Disney's TRON: Legacy, starring Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen and Beau Garrett.
Production is expected to start sometime during the first quarter of this year.
