Oblivion is set to start production in Louisiana this March and is based on Kosinski's graphic novel which tells of a future where the surface of the Earth is almost unlivable for humans, who now live above the clouds. Those unfortunate ones living on Earth are left to deal with alien scavengers. Cruise stars as a surface drone repairman who finds a woman in a pod which has crash landed. This sets off a chain of events which lead which to question all he knows.
Coster-Waldau would play a a military technology expert who's apparently battle-hardened, intelligent and very athletic.
