FX has sent along new clips from Justified, and The Americans First up, in Justified's "Week 8 Quick Shot," the best way to celebrate this unholy union? With a bang. The show starring Timothy Olyphant, Nick Searcy and Joelle Carter, airs on Tuesday nights at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Next, in the "Week 5 Snapshot," for Philip and Elizabeth, it’s just the hazards of the job. The Americans stars Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys and Noah Emmerich and airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m.
Joe Weisberg created the series, and executive produces alongside Justin Falvey, Graham Yost and Darryl Frank. If you haven't seen the show, here's what it's about. We've also included a synopsis for Justified, in case you're keen on catching that at some point.
Justified - Week 8 Quick Shot:
The Americans - Week 5 Snapshot:
The Americans is a period drama about the marriage of two KGB spies posing as Americans in suburban Washington DC. The arranged marriage of Soviet spies Phillip and Elizabeth Jennings, who have two children who know nothing about their parents true identity, is constantly tested by the escalation of the Cold War under President Ronald Reagan, and Phillip’s growing sense of affinity for the American way of life.
In Justified, Timothy Olyphant stars in the lead role of U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens. Givens is a modern day 19th century-style lawman, enforcing his brand of justice in a way that puts a target on his back with criminals and places him at odds with his bosses in the Marshal service. That conflict results in a reassignment for Givens to the U.S. District covering the town where he grew up. He is an anachronism – a tough, soft spoken gentleman who finds his quarry fascinating, but never gives an inch. Dig under his placid skin and you’ll find an angry man who grew up hard in rural Kentucky, with an outlaw father, who knows a lot more about who he doesn’t want to be than who he really is.
