New FOOTLOOSE Line Dance Movie Clip

09/17/2011 by Peter Dimako | News Source/s: Paramount Pictures

Clip from Paramount's Footloose remake called Line Dance, starring Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough and Dennis Quaid.

The reboot of Footloose is around the corner, opening almost a month from now on October 18th. We have a new clip from the Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan) film which also stars Ziah Colon, Ray McKinnon, Miles Teller, Ser'Darius William Blain, Patrick John Flueger and Maggie Elizabeth Jones.

Whether this will perform well come box office debut weekend, is another thing. Remakes are touch and go and considering hardly anyone has heard of the male and female leads, that makes it risky business. Still, watch the new clip and catch other videos including TV spots for Footloose below it.

Footloose SYNOPSIS:

In Footloose, Ren MacCormack (played by newcomer Wormald) is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont’s local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore(Quaid) responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the town and falling in love with the minister’s troubled daughter Ariel (Hough) in the process.
