Jupiter Ascending sci-fi flick from Wachowski duo may land Natalie Portman in lead.

Warner Bros. Pictures' Jupiter, whose plot details are heavily under wraps, could land Portman in a second collaboration with the Matrix helmer duo after working together in the brilliant V for Vendetta, which the Wachowskis adaptated for helmer James McTeigue (The Raven).

According to the Los Angeles times, a tentative start of production has been set for some time in the fall.

Portman's keen on exploring sci-fi; the actress was for a time set to star in Alfonso Cuaron's space travel flick Gravity, which was taken by Sandra Bullock, starring alongside George Clooney.

Portman was last seen in Thor opposite Chris Hemsworth, the poorly received Your Highness with Danny McBride and James Franco, and the eerie Black Swan from director Darren Aronofsky.
