The Tomb actioner has Mikael Hafstrom in talks to direct.
After recent news that Arnold Schwarzenegger may join Sylvester Stallone in The Tomb, the pic now has Mikael Håfström (The Rite, Shanghai, 1408, Derailed) in talks to take the helm of the eagerly anticipated actioner.
Deadline reports that Håfström has been circling the project for a while, which follows Ray Breslin, a prison expert who’s framed by a mysterious enemy and must use all his skill to break out of the prison he designed.
Håfström takes the job which had Antoine Fuqua attached at one point, in a project which would once again reunite Stallone and Schwarzenegger after the duo's work in The Expendables I and II, the second of which opens August 17th this year.
With Håfström's direction of the eerie 1408 and The Rite starring Anthony Hopkins, The Tomb should be right up his alley.
