Director Nick Cassavetes and Fiore Films CEO Marc Fiore generated plenty of publicity for their planned mobster drama Gotti: Three Generations via a press conference today at the Sheraton Hotel in Times Square. John Travolta appeared to promote his starring role as John Gotti, the infamous New York mob boss known as the Teflon Don, who died in prison in 2002 while serving a life sentence for murder, racketeering and extortion.
According to The New York Post, Travolta joined Cassavetes and Fiore at the microphones and posed for pictures with John Gotti Jr. and Victoria Gotti.
Lindsay Lohan made news attending the press conference and posing with Victoria Gotti, daughter of the Teflon Don. Fiore confirmed that no deal had been set for Lohan to play Victoria but added that talks were underway for her to be in the movie. Victoria Gotti also gave Lindsay her approval.
Leo Rossi wrote the screenplay and veteran actor Joe Pesci signed on to play Gotti’s friend Angelo Ruggiero.
Casting for the role of John Gotti Jr. also continued. Fiore confirmed an October production start for the film with or without Lohan.
