The legal problems story for troubled actress Linday Lohan continued to repeat itself as a Los Angeles judge on Friday ordered Lohan to 120 days in jail for violating terms of her parole but she regained her freedom hours later after posting bond — this time for the price tag of $75,000.
According to The New York Daily News, Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced the Mean Girls star to 120 days in jail for violating her parole after watching footage of Lohan walking out a jewelry store with a $2,500 gold necklace around her neck in January. Sautner also sentenced Lohan to 120 hours of community service at the county morgue and 360 hours of service at a women’s center.
“Perhaps then she might see how truly needy women who have fallen on truly hard times have to live,” Sautner said.
Lohan earlier turned down a plea deal from Los Angeles prosecutors that would have included a 90-day jail sentence.
As far her career goes, Lohan returned to the cast of the the mobster drama Gotti: Three Generations – this time as the wife of John Gotti Jr.
Lohan is scheduled for a June 3 trial date.
