Sony gets Lawrence Kasdan's Darling Companion, starring Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline
Sony Pictures Classics has nabbed US rights to Darling Companion from production company Werc Werk Works, reports Variety.
Also in the cast are Elisabeth Moss, Sam Shepard, Dianne Wiest and Mark Duplass, which is now in post-production.
Darling Companion follows a woman (played by Keaton) who rescues a stray dog only to see her husband (Kline) lose it. This sets off a search which picks up a buffet of disparate characters.
Kasdan co-wrote the screenplay alongside Meg Kasdan and the film is being produced by Anthony Bregman's Likely Story as well as Kasdan's Kasdan Pictures and Werc Werk Works' Elizabeth Redleaf.
