The showbiz universe remained fixated this morning on THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN: PART 1 thanks to its stellar weekend box office reports of $139.5 in domestic ticket sales and a more impressive $283.5 million worldwide.
Of all the scenes in the fourth installment of the wildly popular film franchise based on Stephanie Meyer's vampire novels, fans continued to talk about the dramatic pregnancy footage between Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and her vampire husband Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson).
Stewart told the 24 Frames blog at The Los Angeles Times that she spent three hours with artists from Lola Visual Effects in order for her face to appear sunken and her body ravaged from the pregnancy.
“I’m so happy that they were not afraid of it – to have your main character look so awful for half of the movie is a bold choice for a huge film,” Stewart said. “It was the one thing I wasn’t fully responsible for concerning Bella and it made me really nervous. I didn’t know what it would look like until I saw the movie.”
