The Brad Peyton-directed adventure family film opens via Warner Bros.' New Line Cinema on February 10th next year, scripted by Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn (Bring it on Again).
Also in the cast of Journey 2 are Luis Guzman, Vanessa Hudgens and Kristen Davis.
The film which follows after Journey to the Center of the Earth, has hero Sean Anderson (Hutcherson) partnering with his mom's boyfriend on a mission to seek his grandfather, who is thought to be missing on a mythical island.
