Joey King of The Dark Knight Rises has been cast as Channing Tatum's daughter in Roland Emmerich's White House Down, reports Variety.
James Vanderbilt wrote the script for the film which tells of the White House under attack by a parliamentary group, holding all inside hostage.
Tatum plays a Secret Service drawn into the action to protect the president of the United States (Jamie Foxx), while James Woods and Maggie Gyllenhaal play Secret Service agents in the high ranks. Also in the cast is multi-talented Richard Jenkins as the Speaker of the House.
The daughter is brought to the White House by Tatum in an effort to rebuild their fractured relationship, and ends up being one of the hostages.
Mythology Entertainment's Vanderbilt produces alongside Bradley Fischer and Laeta Kalogridis, as well as Harald Kloser and Emmerich. Iron Horse Entertainment's Reid Carolin and Tatum are serving as executive producers.
