Lovelace may cast James Franco as Playboy's Hugh Hefner in Amanda Seyfried starrer
James Franco is apparently in talks to play Playboy's founder Hugh Hefner, working once again with the helmers of Howl - Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, in the independent drama, reports Variety.
Franco would join Amanda Seyfried who plays Linda Lovelace, as well as Peter Sarsgaard, Juno Temple, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth and Robert Patrick.
This news comes after other recent casting of Romeo Brown. Andy Bellin and Merritt Johnson adapt the script based on the book "The Complete Linda Lovelace" written by Eric Danville. Heidi Jo Markel of Eclectic Pictures and Untitled Entertainment's Laura Rister and Jason Weinberg produce the film along with Jim Young of Animus Films.
Lovelace follows Lovelace who starred in the porn movie Deep Throat back in 1972, one of the highest-grossing indie films ever.
Husband Chuck Traynor met her when she was called Linda Boreman, turning her into the famous sex star. Later, after years of being victimized she divorced her husband and quit porn, accusing Traynor of taking advantage of coercing her into prostitution and porn.
