Fans of the Fox medical drama House recently learned the airdate for the final show of their beloved hospital drama, May 21. They also learned that eight new episodes remain to slowly tie up all the loose ends after eight seasons.
With regards to which past characters will return for the series finale, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Olivia Wilde, who played Dr. Remy “Thirteen” Hadley, signed on to appear in the closing episode. Wilde joined House in 2007 and left the show last fall to focus on her movie career.
Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, issued a statement back when the network announced its decision to end House in February.
"While it's with much regret and a lump in our throats, we respect the decision Hugh, David (Shore) and Katie (Jacobs) have made. A true original, on the page and amazingly brought to life by Hugh Laurie, there is only one Dr. House. For eight seasons, the entire HOUSE team has given us - and fans around the world - some of the most compelling characters and affecting stories ever seen on television, They have been creatively tenacious and collaborative throughout this incredible run, and they are amongst the most superior talents in the business. For all the above, we wholeheartedly thank them, and the fans who have supported the show."
Fans, do you Lisa Edelstein, who played Lisa Cuddy, the boss and love interest to Hugh Laurie's titular character, will make an appearance? What about Jennifer Morison, who played Dr. Allison Cameron?
