CW picks up J.J. Abrams' SHELTER, 2 more dramas

J.J. Abrams, Mark Harmon, Kim and Eric Tannenbaum dramas land at CW
CW has picked up three hour-long dramas, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
First up, Shelter from Abrams and Mark Schwahn (creator of One Tree Hill) takes place in a historic New England summer resort where veteran and new staff alike take care of the emotional and at times funny needs of all the guests, while dealing with their own romances and friendships.
Next, The Selection is a romance which takes place some 300 years in the future, and is based on the upcoming Kiera Cass book series. Set up at Warner Bros. TV, the show follows a poor young woman chosen by a lottery to take part in a competition to see who will be the next queen of a war-torn nation.
Vampire Diaries' Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain are exec producing and scripting the hour-long offering.
Lastly, Joey Dakota scripted by Bert Royal of Easy A is based on the Israeli show Danny Hollywood. The romantic time travel musical follows a documentary filmmaker as she travels back to the '90s and falls for the subject of her film - a rock star. After unexpectedly return back to her time, she aims to find a way to return to her love and prevent his death.
