Zane Holtz (TV's Make It or Break It, The Perks of Being a Wallflower) has joined Lucas Till, Bella Heathcote, Penelope Mitchell and Kevin Zegers in The Curse of Downers Grove, an independent thriller helmed by Derick Martini.
According to Variety, Holtz is playing a meth-crazed sidekick to Zegers character in the story which follows a paranoid high school senior concerned about a course which claims the life of a single student every year.
Oren Segal, Chiara Trento and Jason Dubin produce with filming set to start in this spring. Martin (known for Hick starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Blake Lively), directs, as well as co-scripting with Bret Easton Ellis based on Michael Hornburg's novel, which was published back in 2001.
