Nick Frost, Rashida Jones, Chris O'Dowd and Olivia Colman have all joined the comedy Cuban Fury from Big Talk Productions.
Variety reports that the British production is being scripted by TV writer Jon Brown ("Misfits," Fresh Meat") and comes from an original idea from Frost. The story tells of a shabby man who's down on his luck and re-sparks his dormant passion for salsa dancing, thanks largely to his beautiful boss (Jones).
James Griffiths (TV's "Up All Night") is set to make his feature directorial debut on Cuban Fury, which is being co-financed and co-produced by Film4, Studiocanal and BFI Film Fund.
''I've always wanted to do a dance movie and this is a great romantic comedy with massive dance sequences and a real U.K. sensibility rooted in reality," said Big Talk's producer Nira Park.
Filming on Cuban Fury beings in the U.K. in around seven weeks time.
