Todd Field's The Creed of Violence picks up Cross Creek as producers and financiers
Cross Creek Pictures has come on board The Creed of Violence, helmed and scripted by Todd Field, based on the acclaimed novel by Boston Teran, reports Variety.
Universal Pictures distributes the Brian Oliver, Michael DeLuca and Field-produced film which is being set for an early 2013 start-of-production date in Mexico and the American Southwest.
"The Creed of Violence" marks Teran's fifth novel and tells of the Mexican Revolution of 1910 from the eyes of an assassin called Rawbone, and young Bureau of Investigation agent John Lourdes. They're forced to collaborate their efforts in order to infiltrate the Mexican criminal underground and come across killers, smugglers and thieves.
